Royal Artillery 3.7" Anti-Aircraft Battery - 1944
This series of photographs were shared with me by a friend who's father had been a major in the Royal Artillery during WW2. As well as showing 3.7" guns in their traditional anti-aircraft role in the UK, it also shows how the battery was used in Europe post D-Day in the field in a tank or bunker busting role; with presumably with a similar affect to the German 88mm guns..........interesting!
They also show what can happen in slippery conditons when towing these guns.......ooops!
